Thanksgiving- Giving Thanks

Yo.

So Tommorow is Turkey Day (gobble gobble!) ! I hope that you have a great one! At my house, we're having about twenty people over (It's normally more than that) and we're going to eat, drink, be merry and watch some football.

But it's not the food that I'm going to make a point out of . It's Thanksgiving, Giving Thanks.

So I'm sure you are all familiar with the Thanksgiving story. The Pilgrims came to America, Squanto taught them how to plant corn and vegetables and the Pilgrims hunted for Turkey. Then they all had a big feast to celebrate their success in the New World and their friendship with the Indians. And that feast, we still celebrate.

We have a great country, and that's the original reason Thanksgiving was celebrated. But don't we have so many things to be thankful for????

Our families, our friends, pets, homes, food, health... but most importantly........

We have a Savior. Give Thanks to Lord for saving us from our sins!!!

Give thanks to the Lord, For He is good.
His Love endures forever!
With a mighty hand and outstreched arm,
His Love endures forever!
Sing praise! Sing Praise!
(Forever)

I just wanted to remind everybody of what to truly be thankful for. We are so blessed here on earth, but the best blessing of all is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I think we should thank God for people like Kylie, who remind us about the greatness of God and are shining for God. You are an inspiration Kylie. :) Keep it up.

Thanksgiving isn't just the only day of the year we should be giving thanks. every day of the year we should be giving thanks, regardless whether or not we're going to eat a huge feast of food or just a normal amount! :)
1 Chronicles 16:34 -
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!

[not just Thanksgiving! :D]

:D Thanks everyone. It's good to hear I'm doing a good job, I see lots of ways I can improve (as we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God, but you already knew that :D). Feel free to approach me about anything.

Splendiferouslymeliferous. I love it :D

And I have to thank all of you again for being such wonderful friends and lights in my life. You all are so Splendiferouslymeliferous!!! I love you all so much and thanks for walking the road of faith with me.

Weellll... I'm even Later than the Wanderer, and I'm in the bloomin' cast!
I'm with the AllieCat... think about how AMAZING it is that we have a Saviour. Lemme put it this way instead... He, the creator of the universe, came here, to a little galaxy, as a baby (who most people probably thought was conceived out of wedlock), lived with us for 30-some years, healed and did other miraculous things, all so he could die for us and reconcile us with the Father. WOW!!!!
Yeah, so, happy un-Thanksgiving.
Cheers!
