Blessings ---> And the Big Plan

Last night, I did something I haven't done in a LONG time.

I cried myself to sleep.

Yah. Just about a year ago, my pet rabbit Muffin died. He died in my arms, and it was the worst feeling I ever experienced. Last night, I was really reminded of it and I guess I just needed a good cry. It's hard to let go of things that bring us such joy.

God gives us many gifts (Muffin being one), and sometimes we don't think about how blessed we are to have such wonderful things. Our families, friends, pets, homes, food everything big and small we have are gifts from God.

"If your worried and you can't sleep.
Just count your blessings instead of sheep.
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings.
When my bankroll is feeling small,
I think of when I had none at all.
And I fall asleep
Counting my Blessings." ~Blessings, Bing Crosby

Another point to bring out of this is : Everything happens for a reason. God is in control.

Muffin's death was all part of God's plan. God knows how much I loved Muffin, and Muffin's death will work out for the good. I don't know how, but it all fits into his wondrous plan somehow. God has his reasons for trials in our lives. He uses them to strengthen our faith, and to do good in our lives. Even when it's hard, we have to know that God is in control. He loves us, and we must put our trust in him.

I hope that made sense.

In His Grace,

~Kylie

first comment - yes!!

this is wonderful, kylie! a verse that associates with this is John 12:27-28 -
Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? 'Father save me from this hour'? But for this purpose I have come to this hour. Father, glorify your name.
see? God's plan is the best for us, and just brings Him all the glory. isnt God awesome!?

Thanks Kylieee <3
God is so great, and so powerful and we can have a hard time understanding some of the things of what he does but as Rom. 8: 28 says: "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." All we have to do is trust and believe in God!

Yeah. Whenever I am tempted to complain about something (say rain when i wanted sun) I try and remember it is all part of God's plan. Suppose a robber is going to rob someone but the rain stops him; God used the situation for good. I am not the only person God's caring for. Then again, God could be using it to test me. You never know. Or he maybe testing someone else or..... never mind you get my drift.
SMILEY!!!! :)
A blessed boy,
Dave

Those are such great verses!!!

:D

Prayer request- my grandparents are here because my parents are going on a trip for their 20th anniversary. Pray that I'd be graceful, kind and patient while they're here (and when they're not, but especially now :D) I'm having a little trouble with them right now...

Thanks so much everybody for everything!

We are a word on a page of an infinite book, or, if you like, one of the billions of characters in this book. If you've ever written anything with characters in it, you know that it's quite probable that, while you,t he author, know that everything will turn out well, your characters cannot see the end of the story. It is like that, only much more so. God is the ultimate author, and He knows what's going on, even while we're freaking out down here.
Leave it to me to relate EVERYTHING to English and writing... :-)
